This picture taken in 1938 at the girls' elementary school at 159 avenue Parmentier (10th arr.) in Paris shows Henriette FUKS, born on October 29, 1931. She lived at 59 rue du faubourg du Temple (10th arr.) and was deported with her mother and her sister Annette, age 4, on convoy 21 of August 19, 1942.

Felix (Samuel) KOEN was born on December 2, 1927, in Radom, Poland. He grew up in Anderlecht, Belgium. He taught young children at the Jewish school in Wesenbeck. He was trying to lead a group of children to Switzerland when they were stopped at the border. The children were taken back to Belgium, where the Queen, Elisabeth, intervened to save them. But Felix was sent to Drancy and was deported to Auschwitz on convoy 66 of January 20, 1944.
