This picture shows two sisters, Esther Elert in the center and Ida Fiszel to her left, both born in the Iakubowicz family in Poland. To Esther's right is her daughter Rose ELERT, born on September 9, 1924, in Metz (Moselle), and in front of Rose is Esther's son Max (Modech), born September 14, 1934, in Lille (Nord). To the left of Max is his cousin Maurice FISZEL, Ida's son, born July 12, 1939, in Paris. The Elert family was deported on September 15, 1942, via Malines in Belgium (convoy [grouping] 84) after having been arrested in Lille at 33 rue du Plat. The Fiszel family was deported on November 9, 1942, on convoy 44 after having been arrested in Suresnes, in the Paris area, at 91 rue Charles-X.
