                                  Annie                                                       Pierre


Annie CZAPNIKOWICZ was born in Paris (4th arr.) and was 7 was she was deported on convoy 72 of April 29, 1944, with her mother, Laja, and her sister Dworja, age 22. They were arrested in Chambéry (Savoie), where they lived at 42 faubourg Montmélian. Only Dworja survived. Her father, Moshe, had been deported on convoy 6. One of her brothers, Pierre, age 16, arrested in Marseilles, was deported on convoy 52. In the picture, Pierre is first from the right; Dworja is behind her mother; then little Annie, a friend, and her older brother.
