The BERMAN family lived in Paris at 91 rue Villiers de l'Isle-Adam (20th arr.). The parents and their four daughters were arrested during the Vel d'Hiv roundup. Haim, the father, and three girls, Sara, age 20, Vera, 17, and Riva (Rebecca), 16, born in Batoum and Istanbul, were deported on convoy 13 of July 31, 1942. The mother followed. The youngest of the girls, Micheline, age 6, born in Paris, was deported last on convoy 20 of August 17, 1942.
