Fibi ABERGEL, née Kadosche, was 24 when she was arrested in Saint-Fons (Rhône) in March 1943 by the Lyons Gestapo. They must have killed her summarily, for no trace of her death has ever been found. She was the older sister of Simone Kadosche, deported with their parents. Fibi Abergel had 4 children; Anna, the little girl in this picture taken in 1940, is the only survivor. Two of Fibi's boys were born in Lyons, Simon on December 9, 1935, and Joseph on January 27, 1937. They were arrested in Saint-Bel, near Lyons, then put in the Antiquaille Hospital in Lyons on July 25, 1944. They were deported from Lyons to Auschwitz on convoy 78 of August 11, 1944. The fate of her fourth child, Léon, born in 1941, is unknown.
