Rachel and Marie GRONER were twins, born on April 9, 1927, in Paris (4th arr.). Their younger sister, Charlotte, was also born there, on June 26, 1935. They were deported with their mother, Elka, on convoy 22 of August 21, 1942. They lived at 11 rue Le Regrattier in Paris (4th arr.). Their father, Berek, was executed at the time of the Bron massacre in August 1944: Jewish and Resistance prisoners from Fort Montluc in nearby Lyons were shot to death on the Bron airfield, which had been bombed.
