Abraham and Fajga BOJMAL were deported, along with four of their five children, after the Vel d'Hiv roundup, in which they were arrested at their home at 43 Faubourg St.-Martin. Abraham, the father, left on convoy 13; Fajga, the mother, on convoy 14. Kayla, the oldest of the children, was deported at age 17 on convoy 13 of July 31, 1942; Nathan, 16, on convoy 14 of August 3; and Dina, 13, and Annette, 9, on convoy 21 of August 19. The picture was taken a few days before the roundup of July 16, 1942.
