I pray that the horrors that the Nazi's visited upon the Jewish people during WWII may never happen again. I hope that the world and the Jewish people will never forget the people who gave their lives while fighting for the freedom of all people, both those who served in the Russian Army, the Polish resistance movement, the British Army and the United States Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. We never know what freedom means to us until it is threatened to be taken away.

My grandfather was in the Holocaust as a young boy. From the age of 12, he had to live with the horrific memories of the death camps, the starving children, and the death of his brothers and sisters. Hiding in the attick of a family friend for months, to escaping the train ride to a cocentration camp, my grandfather lived off of nothing more then potato skins. My grandfather passed away with some of this last words being, "there are Germans knocking at my door." He passed away December 7, 1998, while in the process of publishing his book, "From Darkness to Sunshine a Young Boys Odyssey." I would like to end this with the upmost respect, and sympathy to all those who lived through or had relatives in the Holocaust.

sincerely, Dina Jeanette Kupfer In loving memory of my grandfather, Mark B. Kupfer

I first heard about The Holocaust from my Social Studies teacher when I was in the 6th grade. When he explained it I was really touche. I was still curious about it so I asked my older sister, which she explained it way better. From that day on I've been wanting to know everything I could about this important topic. I've read a really good book called:"5 diaries of teenagers who died in The Holocaust.

I never use the word HATE in my vocabulary because that's why the holocaust happened.I never use it because I see what it can do.

P.S. If anyone wants to be my friend please contact me.

Greatly appreciated,

It should be noted that the germans had help from many sources in their quest of genocide. The ss had small numbers of french, russian, polish, hungarian and even british join their ranks. Also, concentration camps contained several Americans.

Being a freelance writer/researcher I find this site to be an excellent resource for information on Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. I also have my own home page, just opened(www.geocities.com/bmanuel42/) with my own writings dealing with the Third Reich, World War II. and military history, past and present.

My heart goes out to all individuals who were victims at the hand of such a evil man. Not only were the Jewish people affected by this cruel individual, but also many other groups. Jehovah's Witnesses were also one's who were imprisioned in the concentration camps. They were killed,& tortured for the sole reason for not renouncing their faith. I see how many people today, don't care about their gods, or do not safeguard their spirituallity. Many people today do not apply the principles sent forth through Jehovah's holy word the bible. They select a faith based on whether the preacher says tickles their ears, or rather tells them what they want to hear. It seams many people today will only accept the bible's way of thinking only if it fits their lifestyle. It's unfortunate, that many people find it difficult to abide by the standards set forth by GOD. His principals are not burdensome. They actually are a protection from all that may harm us in this corrupted world. My point is, that many people died and underwent persecution for a faith that is the same faith Jesus believed in, and preached about, when he was on earth. They believed in the same GOD, that Jesus said he did the will of. Why be surprised that the Witnesses were persecuted for teaching people what GOD requires, or preaching about his coming Kingdom that will put an end to all wickedness? Afterall, Jesus was persecuted for the same thing. Why did they have so much hatred for a man who did nothing but good for all he came in contact with? The bible does say the his true followers would be objects of hatred. This and many other reasons are why the witnesses were persecuted. The Holocaust is only one means of how Jehovah's Witnesses were persecuted. I didn't mean to come off as sounding preachy, but I rarely ever hear of the horrid acts of cruelty displayed to the other groups of Individuals in the consentration camps. I did not talk out the other groups because, I do not know what had happened to them. Hopefully, ones who know of others, could share their stories.
