| Hugues STEINER was born on September 4, 1926,
in Paris, where he lived at 242 rue du faubourg Saint-Antoine (12th
arr.). Deported on convoy 53, which
went to Sobibor, he owes his life to his escape from the train. Recaptured, he
was sent this time to Auschwitz, where the chances of survival were better than
at Sobibor. He devoted his life to the noblest causes and died in 1991. |
